This time back in Australia and traveling the East Coast. Our first stop was Echuca for a couple of days of golf with friends from Huntingdale Golf Club , then on to Dubbo to meet up with friends we made when living in Italy. From Dubbo through Tamworth hitting the East Coast at Port Macquarie. From Port Macquarie onwards we travelled the East Coast hoping to Cairns. On our return journey we will follow the coast all the way back to Melbourne. Total time on the road this year was relatively short at only three months and 10,000 km.

This was our first trip and covered the Eastern half of Australia, a distance of 24,000 km over 5 1/2 months. We travelled up the East Coast to Cairns where we left our caravan and proceeded with friends to the tip of Cape York. We returned to Cairns two weeks later to pick up our caravan then proceeded across to the Gulf of Carpentaria, down to Mt Isa, across to Tennant Creek and up to Darwin. Whilst in this region we visited Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks and other tourist attractions in the area. We then travelled south to Alice Springs and on to the Flinders Ranges before returning home.
